In this first issue, I am excited to introduce my new Life Alignment challenge, as well as the new energy forecast for the month of April. I'm also sharing a tasty plant-based recipe, perfect for those chilly days when you need something warm and comforting for dinner.
Hey there! It's been a busy week. In the last few days alone I have joined a new community to support my growing coaching business, have been practicing my coaching with some wonderful people, I have sent my first welcome email to my subscribers and shared my first blog post. I have also been working on some exciting new programmes which I look forward to sharing in due course.
It's all go-go-go, and I like it that way, but I sense that as we ease into Spring, it is still important to take things slowly, and not get too caught up in trying to do everything now. So, I have been making a conscious effort to slow the pace and take plenty of time for rest and relaxation!
What's new?
Firstly, I am delighted to announce the launch of my 12-week Life Alignment Self-assessment challenge! It's free to join in, and it starts today.
| What is it?
My intention is to give you the space, and some gentle guidance, to review where you are in 12 key areas of your life, so that you can get a better understanding of where things are going well, and where you might want to direct your energy and attention to making some tweaks.
Each Sunday, for the next 11 weeks, I will be sharing a new video on one of the 12 life areas, which you can work through at your own pace. There are some questions to think about, and at the end my hope is that you will have a clearer idea of your priorities and some action steps to take away, and start working towards the change you want to see.
Week One is available now on www.thelifealignmentcoach.com/selfassessment

It's completely free and there is a downloadable life alignment chart for you to print out and keep track of where you are now, and where you want to be, in each area of your life.
I will be sharing the next instalment on Sunday, 2nd April 2023.
Monthly Oracle Forecast
As we move closer to the end of March, and into April, I wanted to share the overarching energy card for the month ahead. For those of you who don't know, each month I do an oracle card forecast, to show us what energies we might encounter in the month ahead, and what messages can support us as we move through the coming weeks.
This month, we have two cards. Card #2 is actually the card that came up for the New Moon in Aries on March 21st, and it seems like this energy is flowing through the month of April too, which makes sense as we have another New Moon in Aries (this time a New Moon Eclipse) on 20th April. So, what do you need to ask for help with this month?
I will leave you to read the messages and see what resonates with you.
Card #1 - Look Again

The Message:
Sometimes all the facts are not immediately clear. Sometimes you need to do some digging or further investigation to work out exactly what the situation is, from all angles. Someone's views may be quite different from yours and there may be vital information that you are missing. This card brings a message that it's time to do your research, to better understand the situation and what's driving it. Know your facts before you act.
The Affirmation:
"The more I see, the more I learn, the more I grow"

Card #2 - Ask

The Message:
We can all be a little proud sometimes. We can all feel a little alone and afraid. But the Universe is there to support us and give us what we need, in the form that is best for us, if only we would just ask. This card brings a message that now is the time to be strong and do the most empowering thing you can for yourself. If you need help with something, just ask! The Universe wants to help you, people want to help you, systems are in place to help you. Sometimes, it’s just a case of being willing to admit you need support and asking for it! Now is the time to speak up!
The Affirmation:
"I am taking important steps in my journey"

Midweek Meal Inspiration
- Easy and comforting plant-based recipe ideas to help you break out of the 'midweek meal' rut and bring more colour and flavour to your life.
In this issue, I'm sharing my Dad's recipe for 'Cawl' - with a twist. This was lunch today and it was absolutely delicious - just what I needed on a rather chilly and cloudy Sunday in March.
For those of you who haven't heard of it, Cawl (pronounced like Cow, with an 'l' on the the end) is a Welsh soup, traditionally made with vegetables and lamb, and served with bread and butter, and cheese. This plant-based version is just as delicious, and has a special addition which makes it even more comforting and hearty. (And who doesn't like light and fluffy dumplings?)
I remember having this has a child, and the best bit was dipping small cubes of cheese in the warm broth, and waiting for them to melt. Of course if, like me, you don't do dairy these days, then plant-based cheese can work well too.
| Dad's Warming 'Cawl', with Herby Dumplings

Carrots, Potatoes, Onion, Leek, Parsnip, Swede and Butter Beans, in a vegetable broth with herby dumplings (Cheese on the side is optional)
Serves 4
Cooking time: 1 hour
Serve with: Fresh bread and butter, and cubes of 'cheese', if you fancy it.

Little Wins
Things worth celebrating, just because . . .
My little win is that I went to a shop today and bought a new hoodie!
Okay, so perhaps I should say, that I JUST bought a new hoodie, and not the two other tops that I was eyeing up. So, why is this a win I hear you ask? Well, in the past, I have had difficulty walking away from things, especially in shops. I would worry that I would miss my chance, and I might not be able to get it again, or that I just couldn't make a decision there and then and needed more time in-case I made a mistake and regretted it. This has caused me no end of issues, and isn't exactly good for the bank balance. But today, when I was looking for a new warm, comfy top (preferably coral pink), I found myself torn between three tops - one was almost exactly what I had gone in looking for but the wrong colour, one was completely left-field but it was nice, and I thought I might need it one day, and one caught my eye straight away and although it wasn't exactly what I had in mind at the outset, it looked comfy, practical and made me feel a little excited at the same time. It was also coral pink AND it was on offer!
In times gone by, I would probably have brought all three - convincing myself that I would try them all on at home and then take the other two back once I had decided which one to keep. The reality would be that I would lose the receipt, or just forget to take them back. As I stood there today, I thought - okay, which one do you really like, and which one meets your needs, now - today?
There was only really one contender and as I walked out of the store with my new, discounted, coral pink hoodie, I felt such a relief and that I had made my decision and walked away. As soon as I put it on, I knew I had made the right decision.
Learning to trust my intuition and knowing when to walk away and 'say no' has been a big part of my journey, and I consider little things like this a win, because I see that these old habits and beliefs really are changing, for the better.
It also reminds me that sometimes, what we really need and want is 'packaged' a little differently from what we have our sights on, and the importance of keeping an open mind. Otherwise, we could end up with something that's 'almost' what we want, but not quite, and miss out on something truly wonderful.
What do you think?
I want to build community, and part of that is being connected to you. You've heard enough from me, what do you think about what I've discussed in this issue? Do you have any tips or experiences you would like to share? Have you found this helpful? What else would you like to see here? Let me know in the comments!
So, that’s it from me!
Take care and have a wonderful week,
Anna x
